Senior Legal Counsel IT & Contracting

Role overview
You will advise on complex contracting and technology-related matters where procurement, regulation and business priorities intersect. Working closely with Procurement & Third-Party Management (PTM), CITO and business stakeholders, you identify and manage legal risks and translate legal and regulatory complexity into practical, workable solutions. You independently manage complex dossiers involving multiple stakeholders and domains, provide clear risk-based legal advice, support decision-making and balance legal, commercial and operational considerations. You are a trusted sparring partner within Legal Corporate Services and actively coach and develop less experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities
Advise on complex IT, sourcing and commercial contracting matters
Draft, review and negotiate technology and commercial agreements
Assess legal and regulatory risks and provide pragmatic, risk-based advice
Support stakeholders on technology, digitalisation and AI matters
Contribute to policy development and implementation of legal frameworks
Coach and support junior colleagues
Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Dutch Law
Experience: Minimum 7 years relevant experience as legal counsel, attorney or corporate lawyer
Experience with complex commercial and IT contracts
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Affinity with technology, digitalisation and AI
Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (mandatory)
Pragmatic, solution-oriented and able to translate legal complexity into actionable advice
Conditions & practical information
Hybrid working arrangement (Rabobank @anywhere policy)
Candidates must be available for the full duration of the assignment
Candidates must hold a valid passport or ID card
Pre-employment screening will be executed; a candidate may only start after screening is successfully completed
Eisen
- Language: English and Dutch mandatory
- Master's degree in Dutch Law
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience as legal counsel, attorney or corporate lawyer
