Global Communications Lead
Location: Utrecht, hybrid
Working hours: 36 hours per week, spread over 4.5 working days. The schedule cannot alternate between four and five working days per week.
Assignment duration: Initially 4 months, with the possibility of an extension to 6 months.
About the role
As Global Communications Lead, you will shape communications around key international strategic priorities within Wholesale & Rural. You will turn complex topics into clear narratives and practical communications that help colleagues and leaders understand the organisation’s direction.
What you’ll do
Develop and coordinate communication plans for strategic priorities, including global market positioning, a name change and the strategic direction for 2027.
Translate priorities into clear narratives, key messages, leadership briefings and practical materials for regional teams.
Support the global launch and ongoing activation of the International Cooperative through engaging content and internal storytelling.
Create communications for senior leaders, including executive messages, speeches, video scripts and employee updates.
Work closely with the Global Marketing & Communications team and colleagues across the business.
What you’ll bring
A master’s degree in Communications or a related field.
At least 10 years of senior-level experience in an international organisation.
Relevant communications experience in an international environment.
A strong track record in employee and leadership communications.
Experience in international community building.
Strong editorial judgement, writing and storytelling skills.
Fluent spoken and written English.
A strategic, hands-on and structured approach, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and deliver high-quality work.
Nice to have
Knowledge of Dutch.
Working arrangements
The role is hybrid, with office attendance on Mondays and Wednesdays. Independent contracting (ZZP) is not permitted.
Eisen
- The candidate must have a master’s degree in Communications or a related field
- The candidate must have at least 10 years of senior-level experience within an international organisation
- The candidate must have relevant communications experience in an international environment
- The candidate must have a strong track record in employee and leadership communications
- The candidate must have experience with international community building
- The candidate must have strong editorial judgement, writing and storytelling skills
- The candidate must be fluent in spoken and written English
- The candidate must have a strategic, hands-on and structured approach, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and deliver high-quality work
- The candidate must be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment
- The candidate must be able to work 36 hours per week across 4.5 working days; alternating between 4 and 5 working days per week is not possible
- The candidate must submit a CV and motivation letter in English
- Candidates offered via a midlance construction are not allowed
- The candidate must have a valid passport or ID card and bring it to the interview and at the start of the assignment
- The candidate may start only after successfully completing the pre-employment screening
- Suppliers may offer only one candidate for this position; multiple candidates from the same supplier will be rejected
- The candidate must be submitted exclusively to Magnit – Rabobank during the four-business-day exclusivity period for the request
Gunningscriteria
- Dutch language skills are an advantage
