Position
Role: Designer — Digital Platform (Design System)
Employment: 1 FTE
Work model: Hybrid; generally expected in the office two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Preferred working week: 36 hours.
Your role
Document, structure and standardize reusable design patterns so distributed design knowledge becomes a shared source of truth. Enable designers, product teams and stakeholders to find, understand and apply consistent, accessible and practical guidance across products.
Responsibilities
Review existing patterns, design standards and platform guidelines across products and teams.
Identify and analyse key knowledge sources (designers, stakeholders, Figma files, implemented journeys, existing documentation).
Define documentation templates, required fields, quality criteria and writing guidelines.
Document high-priority UX patterns, including purpose and rationale, usage guidance, accessibility considerations, interaction principles, trade-offs and constraints, and product examples.
Create connections between patterns, journeys, components and related documentation.
Make conflicting implementations, missing decisions and ownership gaps visible.
Advise on areas that may require further standardisation or design exploration.
Ensure documentation is both human-readable and suitable for AI-assisted discovery and retrieval.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in UX Design, Design Systems, Service Design or a related design discipline.
Proven experience documenting design systems, UX patterns, interaction standards or reusable product guidance.
Strong systems-thinking skills and ability to connect different layers of a digital ecosystem.
Experience working with Figma and managing design knowledge across multiple teams.
Excellent written communication skills and ability to translate tacit knowledge into clear guidance.
Experience facilitating knowledge-extraction conversations with subject matter experts.
Pragmatic mindset with ability to balance quality and progress; able to bring structure to ambiguity and make things decidable.
Understanding of accessibility principles and their role within reusable design patterns.
Experience working in complex stakeholder environments.
